In a country like ours, where cultural funding occupies the smallest spaces in official budgets, and the sponsorship policy based on incentive laws favors commercial production models, with guarantees of advertising and box office returns, the consolidation of consistent theater groups and companies is an unfair and seemingly unattainable challenge. In this sense, the uninterrupted survival of a stable company that for 45 years has paved the way for research and experimentation in unconventional stage languages, with work aimed at all sectors of the population, especially those who traditionally have no access to theater, is a cultural event that deserves to be celebrated as a great moment for theater in Rio de Janeiro and Brazil.
The trajectory of Grupo Tá Na Rua is, in itself, an act of cultural resistance and coherence with a democratic and transformative artistic project, in search of a theater that is increasingly closer to the needs and characteristics of the Brazilian people.
Grupo Tá Na Rua believes in the democratization of culture, and for this reason, it carries out free or affordable shows and develops formative actions aimed at the entire carioca and Brazilian community.
